As a little background, the short story prequel, WRUNG OUT, was designed as a writing exercise purely for my own benefit. It was a way for me to work out who this character, Tom Guthrie, was. What made him tick? Did he have a sense of humour? Where did he live?

It’s a quick read, but hopefully gives you some background on Tom before you read the second short story prequel, MURDER IN THE SMA’ GLEN, and the first of the trilogy, TOOLS OF THE TRADE.
